Blu's Tips

🫙
Do Not Stir the Layers
The magic of this recipe is in the layers staying separate as they bake. The butter rises, the biscuit falls, the filling sets. Trust the process.
🍗
Rotisserie Makes It Easy
A store-bought rotisserie chicken is exactly right for this recipe. Shreds easily and adds rich flavor that plain cooked chicken cannot match.
🧀
Cheddar Bay Mix Is the Secret
Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix is what makes this recipe taste the way it does. You can find it in most grocery stores next to the other baking mixes.
🥦
Use What You Have
Any frozen vegetable blend works. Peas and carrots, broccoli, corn — whatever is in your freezer is the right answer.

How to Store It

Keep it fresh as long as possible

❄️
Refrigerator
4 Days
Cover and refrigerate. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 15 minutes to bring back the biscuit texture.
🧊
Freezer
2 Months
Freeze in portions after baking. Thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat in the oven uncovered.
🔥
Reheat
Oven Best
The oven keeps the biscuit topping from getting soggy. Microwave works in a pinch but the texture suffers.
🙏

Sometimes the simplest recipes make the biggest impression. This one never fails.
