Peach cobbler is one of those recipes that smells like summer and tastes like home. Fresh peaches are incredible when they're in season — but canned peaches work beautifully year round. Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and watch it disappear.

Cinnamon1 tsp
Nutmeg¼ tsp
Lemon juice1 tbsp
The Crust
All-purpose flour1 cup
Granulated sugar1 cup
Baking powder1 tsp
Salt¼ tsp
Milk1 cup
Butter, melted½ cup

Instructions

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F. Place a 9x13 baking dish in the oven while it preheats.

⏱ Rest 10 minutes
03
Make the Batter
Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk until smooth. Pour in melted butter and stir to combine.
04
Butter the Dish
Carefully remove the hot dish from the oven. Pour melted butter into the bottom of the dish.
05
Layer and Bake
Pour batter over the butter — do not stir. Spoon peaches evenly over the batter — do not stir. Bake 40 to 45 minutes until golden and bubbling.
🔑 Do not stir the layers

Cool Slightly and Serve
Let cool 10 minutes before serving. Best served warm with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. 😄

Blu's Tips

🍑
Fresh or Canned Both Work
Fresh peaches in season are incredible. But canned peaches drained work beautifully year round. Don't let the season stop you.
🧈
Hot Dish is the Secret
Preheating the dish with the butter creates that signature crispy bottom crust. Don't skip this step.
🚫
Never Stir the Layers
The magic of cobbler is in the layers. The batter rises through the peaches as it bakes. Stirring ruins the whole thing.
🍨
Serve it Warm
Peach cobbler is best served warm from the oven with vanilla ice cream melting over the top. That contrast is everything.

How to Store It

Keep it fresh as long as possible

🍑
Room Temperature
1 Day
Cover loosely and keep at room temperature for up to one day.
❄️
Refrigerator
4 Days
Cover tightly and refrigerate. Reheat in oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes to bring back the crispy top.
🧊
Freezer
3 Months
Cool completely, wrap tightly, and freeze. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator then reheat in oven.
🙏

God gave us seasons for a reason. And peach season is one of His best ideas yet.
